What is it?

Composite bonding is a cosmetic procedure where we use tooth coloured material to enhance the shape of your teeth. We can use composite to close spaces, fix chips, restore length, and improve your smile.

What are composite veneers?

Composite veneers use the same materials, but cover the whole surface of your tooth. Composite veneers allow us to make bigger changes to your smile and tooth shape, and we can further enhance the colour of your teeth.

How does it work?

After a consultation for treatment planning, composite bonding is done over 2 appointments. The first appointment is to place the bonding and the second appointment is for adjustments and final polishing.

Is it safe?

Composite bonding is a safe procedure as we do not prepare the teeth for placement. Occasionally, we may advise some adjustment to the teeth – however this is rare, minimal, and not done without prior consent.

How long does bonding last?

We use the latest techniques to ensure the best lifespan from your bonding. We advise you may consider a replacement or refurbishment every 5-7 years for best aesthetics.

Do my teeth have to be straight for composite bonding?

We can correct very minor overlaps with composite bonding. If there are more pronounced overlaps, we would advise aligning the teeth to ensure you get the best result possible.

How many teeth do i need to get treated with composite bonding?

This depends on your goals with your smile. We want you to get the best result with the least amount of treatment, so at your consultation appointment we can plan this out together.
